What IS IT?
An automated image analysis system, packed with sensors
Microdeep™️ is an all-purpose, AI-powered, microfluidics microscope. It has been successfully applied to the quantification and qualification of micro-algae, particularly spirulina and biofuels, our first applications. While those systems are by essence very turbid (a measure of how dense a solution is optically), the other end of the spectrum has raised our interest. Having demonstrated that we could detect microscopic objects in liquids, we set out to concentrate extremely dilute solutions, a perfect example of which is sea water.
Technology
The core technology is a cube with a 10” side, containing the microscope, pumps and microfluidics technology, as well as all the electronics and sensors cards. The analysis is performed locally on an iPad or Mac connected to the local network, or remotely on a secured-access server. A system of notifications is set to alert the users by email or text message. Solutions to simply plug the system on a home or industrial pipe system have been prototyped: our technology is ready to move from the laboratory to the field.
The technology has been patented and has earned the “Deeptech” label by the French Public Bank of Investment (BPI).
